Once the hybrid program is in place, Indiana effectively will have three welfare intake systems: the hybrid, the more automated system put in place in 49 additional counties before Murphy halted it, and the 33 counties still reliant on strictly face-to-face contact between clients and case workers. Those 33 counties include the cities of Indianapolis, Gary and South Bend.

The 10 hybrid counties are Davies, Dubois, Gibson, Knox, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Warrick and Vanderburgh

where is Marion? i thought Wayne was the president of the mayors?
looks like GC is left out again and that call center thing we heard so much about--well i guess it 'burned out'...
sound familiar?

From what I gleaned from the article Joe, I would say that Grant Co. would be in the automated group. I'm not sure what point you are trying to make.

Should Wayne have pushed to be hybridized here in GC or go back to the old way of seeing clients face to face?
From the sound of it, this new hybridization of the welfare system will be launching in counties with a smaller need-with the exception of Vanderburg Co. (Evansville). I imagine there is a pretty large population of people in the system.

I thought from the beginning that privatizing anything state run would end up a bad idea. According to our marvelous capital system economy, the object bottom line is to make money. Period. How can privatizing the system that provides for the poor benefit the poor without dipping into private company's pockets. Where will they "cheat" to keep it in the black?
